Method I : Upgrade All (default)

This method allows user to upgrade all tape drives attached to the server. Simply run the component by issuing following command.

Method II : Discover and Upgrade (advanced users only)

This method gives user more control over firmware manipulation by giving user following options

  1. Besides upgrade it also allows user to downgrade or rewrite firmware to the tape drive.
  2. In case of multiple tape drives attached, let user pick individual tape drive.

Steps

  1. Discover - C:tmpCPxxxxxx.exe /d c:tmpDiscoveredDrives.xml
  2. Modify <action> tag in xml to be 'upgrade|downgrade|rewrite|skip' as desired.
  3. Upgrade (or Downgrade, Rewrite) - C:CPxxxxxx.exe /u c:tmpDiscoveredDrives.xml
  4. Results are in c:cpqsetuplogsetup.log
  5. Notes
    • Please specify full path with /d and /u options for xml file.
